To get away from the terrorist attack or natural disasters like storm or typhoon people make a safe Room into their own premises whether it is in the apartment blocks or the own home. Every one cannot afford as it requires money to construct a safe Room. This is usually found in the homes of rich people as they do not budget constraints. They can easily slip into this rooms in any emergency without any harm.
For the common people a Safe Room is one where they can go in case of any disasters maybe a natural or man made. Even though the walls are constructed in a regular way but the doors and the frames and locks should be of good material which cannot be broken easily.
The safe Room usually does not contain any windows as the burglars will try to get inside from the window. The items to be kept in the room are a Phone, Water, Emergency kits like first aid, medicines and food.
You can be kept in the room for much longer, so think of proper ventilation system, hygiene is another important thing which you need to think about so stock up your room with whatever you need for proper hygiene.
If you live in a place where there are lots of thefts taking place because of which your and your family’s life is faced with danger you can invest in making a safe place in your own home.Everyone in the house should know what the safe room is about and they should know the location into the house to quickly rush there in emergency. If you have children at home teach them the importance of having a safe room and to use only in an emergency and not for leisure.
If you have already invested in the safe room make sure all what is required is always in the room as during the emergency when you need to rush in you need not bother about the stuff you require inside the room. Keep it well stocked at all times.
In emergency, once you are in the room do not get out till everything is safe and you are sure that the burglar or whatever natural disaster was on its way has passed. For natural disasters you can keep a battery operated radio inside the safe room and when it is quite safe then only you get out of your safe room. But if it a burglary you can contact your local sheriff or police officer to make sure that the house is safe to be out of the safe room.
